Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer at Mid, Senior, and Lead levels to design high- and extra-high-voltage transmission systems, and guide projects from concept through procurement to construction-ready packages. The North Region offers hybrid and remote options.

You will leverage PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and advanced modeling to solve complex foundation and voltage-conversion challenges, while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams for successful

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering and prior relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems.
Expert-level or working knowledge of PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
Working knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE codes.

Responsibilities

Design overhead and underground transmission systems in compliance with NESC, ASCE, and ACI standards.
Move projects from conceptual routing to material procurement and construction-ready packages.
Apply advanced modeling (PLS-TOWER, LPILE, FAD) to site-specific challenges.
Lead teams, mentor junior engineers, and manage client interfaces for successful delivery.
