Job summary

Pike Corporation in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Groundman to join our field crew supporting the construction and maintenance of the power grid. You will report to the Foreman and perform essential labor, including installing and repairing overhead lines and related hardware, while prioritizing safety.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to travel, including out-of-state assignments and on-call outages.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required; ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/carry/push/pull materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair de-energized powerlines with safety first.
• Help install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators and related hardware.
• Perform physical labor and regularly lift heavy tools and equipment.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good work order.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions including extreme heat, cold and weather.
• Available for outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotations.
• Inspect rubber goods and PPE; follow safety protocols.
