Job summary

Pike Electric LLC in Georgia is seeking a Groundman to support the construction and maintenance of the nation's Power Grid. You will report to the Foreman and perform demanding outdoor work with a strong emphasis on safety.

This entry-level position requires a valid driver's license (CDL within 60 days), willingness to travel, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You must be prepared for variable weather, outages, and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 60 days.
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at different job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair de-energized powerlines while putting safety first.
• Help install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• You will perform rigorous physical labor and regularly lift heavy tools and equipment.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good work order.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and inclement weather.
