Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Groundman - Transmission (Oncor) to support construction, maintenance and repair of our power grid. You will work with a Foreman, perform physical labor, and help install overhead transmission lines and related hardware.

The role involves outdoor work in all weather, travel as needed, and readiness for overtime, outages and on-call rotations. A valid driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair de-energized powerlines while prioritizing safety.
• Assist with installation and repair of overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good order.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and be available for outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotation.
