Job summary

Ameren Services in Illinois seeks an Engineer to design, program, implement, develop, and maintain project-oriented database modeling tools and perform model uploads for energy management systems, SCADA, and ICCP databases; backup functions for other modeling tasks.

You will be part of the Technical Support team, maintaining real-time control systems and supporting monitoring and dispatching for Ameren MO & IL assets, with software upgrades and system integrations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Experience with energy management computer systems or SCADA preferred.
• Understanding of electrical power systems and control systems is preferred.
• NERC background checks must be passed.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral member of the Technical Support team to maintain 24x7 availability of real-time process control computers, other servers and desktops.
• Support applications and tools used for monitoring, analyzing and dispatching Ameren MO & IL transmission and generation assets.
• Implement software upgrades to keep systems current.
• Integrate new systems to support control center activities and mandated policies.
• Share off-hours support responsibilities to provide 24x7 coverage.
