Job summary

Grant PUD is seeking an EMS Engineer to design, implement, and support its EMS/SCADA/related control systems within the Bulk Electric System. The role spans from configuration and optimization to lifecycle management across servers, networks, and databases, with a focus on security, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, MIS or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years Engineer III, 6+ years IV, 10+ years V in applications support for critical operations.
  • Knowledge of NERC standards and regulations.
  • Ability to review documentation and apply guidelines to complex systems.
  • MS Office proficiency and data reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain EMS/SCADA/historian systems and interfaces.
  • Support and lead CIP compliance and security initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and utilities to improve BES reliability.
  • Lead documentation efforts, troubleshooting guides, and change control artifacts.
  • Mentor teammates and contribute to long‑term modernization plans.
