Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Foreman with Transmission or Distribution line experience to serve as a Construction Coordinator for projects based in Eastern Pennsylvania.

The role focuses on planning and coordinating construction activities to meet schedule and budget goals, with per diem and a company truck provided. Responsibilities include safety oversight, pre-construction reviews, site inspections, coordinating RFIs, material planning, and daily logs.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ Years Relevant Construction / Maintenance Experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Similar preferred.
• Experience in Commercial / Industrial TD or Management preferred.
• May have a background in structural, mechanical, or electrical construction / engineering but must understand drawings.
• OSHA 10 hour and MEA training is beneficial.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication.
• Must be able to use basic computer programs (MS Office and Adobe).
• Must be organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented.
• Must be able to travel; travel and lodging costs are reimbursable.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety oversight at the site and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Participate in pre-construction planning, reviews, and permits; post plans posted on site.
• Coordinate with crews, client PM, and engineering to resolve RFIs and keep progress on track.
• Identify field-purchased material needs and coordinate deliveries; manage material inventories.
• Prepare Daily Log Reports to outline progress, deficiencies, and safety incidents.
• Maintain redline drawings and complete weekly safety audits; manage scope changes.
• Occasionally climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
