Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Construction Coordinator for Transmission & Distribution projects in Eastern Pennsylvania. The role involves planning and coordinating construction activities to meet schedule and budget, with per diem and a company truck provided.

Responsibilities include safety oversight, pre-construction planning, site inspections, RFI resolution, material management, daily logs, and maintaining project drawings. Travel and driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 8+ years relevant Construction/Maintenance experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or similar preferred.
• Experience in Commercial/Industrial T&D or experience in management preferred.
• May have a background in structural, mechanical, or electrical construction/engineering but must be familiar with drawings.
• OSHA 10 hour and MEA training is beneficial.
• Must pass post-offer drug and alcohol test per Federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety oversight to ensure compliance with safety procedures at site.
• Participate in pre-construction planning, drawing reviews, and constructability reviews.
• Inspect construction, ensure compliance with specs, drawings, and permits; resolve RFIs.
• Identify field-purchased material needs; coordinate orders and deliveries.
• Prepare Daily Log Reports tracking progress, safety incidents, and schedule adherence.
• Maintain redline drawings, perform weekly safety audits, and sign timesheets.
• Occasionally climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
