Job summary

Ameren Transmission in Missouri seeks a Manager Transmission Construction to lead a team of engineers and contractors in planning, organizing, and executing transmission construction projects. You will ensure safety, schedule adherence, and budget compliance while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering, PE license preferred, PMP preferred, and 7+ years of project construction experience with 5+ years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Good leadership, management, analytical, communication, flexibility and human relations skills required.
• 24/7 availability required. Construction site visits are expected.
• Travel and Overtime may be required.
• After preliminary review, select applicants must take the First Line Supervisor Test for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture of safety with zero unsafe acts and monitor contractor safety performance.
• Monitor and assess co-worker development needs and active role in developing direct reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in planning, development and execution of transmission construction projects, delivering safely, on schedule and within budget.
• Drive continuous improvement by adopting emerging technology and industry best practices and implementing best practices in construction management.
• Identify strategies to improve Ameren's relationship with customers and landowners affected by construction activities; serve as liaison with local communities.
• Develop department policies, practices, procedures and strategies as business needs evolve.
