Job summary

Ameren Transmission in Missouri seeks a Transmission Line Design and Maintenance Engineer to plan, design, and manage projects for lines above 100kV. You will handle multiple assignments, develop construction specs, and provide cost estimates while ensuring code compliance and safety standards.

The role requires a BS in engineering, EIT or commitment to pursue in IL/MO, and a PE license or pursuit. Collaboration with multiple teams and external partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; EIT or pursuing one in IL/MO.
• P.E. license or pursuing one in IL/MO.
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and engineering to establish safe design parameters and cost estimates.
• Evaluate NESC compliance and safety guidelines for existing lines and upgrades.
• Develop scope, basis of design, and project control documents for transmission projects.
• Coordinate with real estate, drafting, construction crews, and external consultants.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and bid documents; assist or lead planning and coordination.
