Job summary

Think Power Solutions LLC seeks a skilled Transmission Construction Representative to oversee contractor performance on the owner's electric transmission system. You will ensure safety, schedule adherence, and conformance with design specs across projects from upgrades to new substations.

The role requires 6+ years in transmission line and substation work, utility-industry experience, and a relevant degree. Travel and leadership duties are involved with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant transmission line and substation work experience required.
• Experience working in the utility industry is highly preferred.
• Associate’s degree in construction management or engineering is a plus.
• Proficient at using a computer, iPad and Microsoft Office products.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must currently be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with contract terms for transmission projects.
• Monitor safe completion of work in line with design specifications and safety standards.
• Manage projects from substation upgrades to new substation construction.
• Identify design flaws, material shortages, and contractor performance risks.
• Assist in resolving issues to maintain timelines, quality, and safety.
• Apply knowledge of line, substation and civil construction requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings and guide their application in construction.
• Ensure compliance with Owner construction standards and safety terms.
• Mentor and train lower-level Transmission Construction Representatives.
