Leeward Renewable Energy (LRE) is seeking a Transmission and Congestion Associate who will lead and support modeling transmission systems and pricing congestion risks across our portfolio. This role is essential in implementing the LRE Congestion Plan and will involve collaboration with numerous teams to drive effective market strategies.
Ideal candidates will possess 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, a STEM or business degree, and proficiency in power flow modeling tools. The position will offer hybrid flexibility, requiring in-office presence at least three days a week.

Job Summary: The Transmission and Congestion Associate (P3) will lead and support modeling transmission systems and pricing congestion risk across Leeward’s portfolio. Working with the Manager of Congestion and Market Analytics, Basis Traders, and Director of Portfolio Management, the Associate will help implement the LRE Congestion Plan and identify congestion risks and opportunities through advanced market and transmission analysis. The position is a foundational role within congestion and market analytics, providing a pathway to senior analytics, strategy, or Congestion Trading roles. They will maintain congestion models and data, support risk mitigation strategies through Virtuals and FTR/TCC/CRRs, and lead market intelligence efforts across PJM, ERCOT, MISO, and CAISO. Proficiency in power flow modeling and contributing to quarterly Board reporting is essential.
Leeward Renewable Energy (LRE) is an in‑office role, requiring on‑site presence in our office a minimum of three days per week with hybrid flexibility of working remotely two days per week, subject to manager and policy approval. Applicants must have current authorization to work for any employer in the United States on a full‑time basis without the need for an employment visa now or in the future. Employer visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
