Leeward Renewable Energy is seeking a Congestion Trader to support and conduct modeling of transmission systems and pricing congestion risk across its portfolio. You will work with senior analytics and trading teams to implement the LRE Congestion Plan, identify opportunities, and manage data-driven models.
You will refine power flow models (YES/PowerWorld/Dayzer), perform market analyses, and produce nodal LMP forecasts across multiple ISOs.

Born in Texas in 2003, we own and operate over 30 utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects in local communities across the United States, totaling 4 gigawatts (GW) of generating capacity.
The Congestion Trader (L24) will support/conductmodeling transmission systems and pricing congestion risk across Leeward’s portfolio. Working with the Manager of Congestion and Market Analytics, PowerTraders, and Director of Portfolio Management, the Trader will help implement and execute transactions developed/identified as part of theLRE Congestion Plan and identify/execute complimentary trading opportunities.They will maintain congestion models and data,identify and executerisk mitigation strategies using Virtual and FTR/TCC/CRRs, and lead market intelligence efforts across PJM, ERCOT, MISO, and CAISO. Proficiency in power flow modeling and contributing to quarterly Board reporting is essential.
Please Note: This is an in-office role, requiring on site presence in our office a minimum of three days per week with hybrid flexibility of working remotely two days per week, subject to manager and policy approval.
