Job summary

Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford seeks a Translation Program Coordinator to develop, coordinate and manage translation services for staff, patients and families. The role requires training and assessment of staff, interns and volunteers in translation services.

The position focuses on ensuring compliance with department guidelines, maintaining high-quality translations and coordinating with external contractors. Strong bilingual skills and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
  • ATA certification required. ATA certification may be waived with a master's degree in Translation.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and translation quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate workflow of all translation assignments and ensure timely completion.
  • Develop policies, financial planning and organization of the translation program.
  • Edit translations and provide feedback to the translation team.
  • Manage invoicing, billing and external customer projects.
  • Ensure adherence to department guidelines and quality standards.
  • Handle bilingual communications and maintain confidentiality.
