Job summary

Unisys is seeking a senior Transition Manager to oversee the transition and onboarding of large, complex deals. You will work with bid and account teams to align proposals, contracts, and staffing with project goals.

The role focuses on validating staff and non-people resources, shaping risk mitigation, and ensuring accurate forecasting and billing in collaboration with procurement and finance. A top candidate will have extensive program management and stakeholder coordination experience.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in complex deals or transitions.

Responsibilities

• Provide transition management support for large, complex deals.
• Consult with bid and account management to review proposals, contracts and documents.
• Determine transition goals, timeframes, funding limitations and resource allocation.
• Develop communication plans for the transition cycle and the initial steady state period.
• Validate staff and resource alignment with contractual and financial requirements.
• Ensure project accounting structures and client billing processes are in place.
• Identify gaps and risk mitigation strategies.

What success looks like in this role:

• Provides Transition Management support for large, more complex deals.
• Contributes to activity / project execution within the following areas:

Deal Onboarding:

• Consults with bid and account management to review project proposals, contracts and other documents.
• Based on review, determines transition goals, time frames, funding limitations and other procedures for accomplishing project, staffing, and allotment of resources.
• Develops and implements communication plans to address the total transition cycle and the initial steady state period.

Solution Handover/ Validation

• Validates that the level of staff proposed, the source of staff and their skill levels are in line with contractual, financial and solution requirements.
• Validates that all non-people resources are in line with contractual, financial and solution requirements – works with Procurement to ensure appropriate plans are in place.
• Validates the adequacy and accuracy of other assumptions (i.e., solution elements, pricing / costing, etc.).
• Ensures development of relevant gap analyses and risk mitigation strategies.

Financial structuring:

• Ensures project accounting structures and budgets are in place as per project requirements.
• Ensures client billing processes and procedures are in place.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• BA/BS degree and 8+ years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Master’s degree preferred
