Job summary

The City of Conroe is seeking a Transit Vehicle Operator responsible for operating fixed-route, paratransit, on-demand and special transportation services. You will ensure safe, efficient, and professional transport, complying with all regulations and agency policies, while representing the City with outstanding customer service.

This role requires a valid Texas Class C CDL with Passenger Endorsement, a clean driving record, ability to pass DOT physical, and willingness to flexible schedules,

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Must be 18 years or older.
• Possession of a valid class "C" Texas Commercial Driver's License or higher with Passenger Endorsement.
• Upon offer, pass CDL physical exam and maintain conditioning per re-examinations.
• Clean driving record and knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and passenger transportation requirements.
• Pass background check and pre-employment substance abuse screening; safety-sensitive position with random testing.
