Job summary

City of Conroe is seeking a Part-Time Driver - Senior Transit Vehicle Operator to safely operate transit buses and assist passengers across fixed-route, paratransit, on-demand, and special transportation services.

Under general supervision, you will uphold professional standards, ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations, and serve as a frontline representative with exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; must be 18+.
• Valid Texas CDL Class C with Passenger Endorsement required (standard Class C does not meet this).
• Clean driving record and knowledge of safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate transit vehicles to provide fixed-route, paratransit, on-demand, and special transportation services.
• Maintain safety, professionalism, and customer service; comply with regulations and procedures.
• Assist passengers and ensure on-time performance and safety while on duty.
