Job summary

Keolis North America Inc. is seeking a qualified trainer to lead the Operator Education and Trainer Certification programs. The role involves organizing safety instruction, overseeing BTW and new hire training, and coordinating classroom to revenue instruction.

The ideal candidate has TSI trainer certification, a Class B CDL with P endorsement, and 3+ years of transit experience. Strong communication, organizational, and regulatory knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Certified Transportation Safety Institute (TSI) bus operator trainer.
• CDL Class B with P endorsement required.
• Preferred Airbrakes and Passenger endorsements; active medical examiner's certificate.
• At least 3 years’ progressive transit experience with Class B vehicles in a fixed route system.
• Knowledge of DOT policies, OSHA, NIMS, EPA standards and ADA requirements.
• Experience developing safety program plans and procedures; conducting investigations and recommending corrective actions.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding of sensitive material.
• Oral presentations, conveying technical information clearly.
• Diversity-friendly work environment.

Responsibilities

• Administers and directs the Keolis Operator Education Program, Trainer Certification Program, Monthly Safety Initiative, and OSHA required training to all department employees.
• Conducts driver licensing safety instruction.
• Provides training assistance to Maintenance, Human Resources and other departments as needed.
• Directs Behind the Wheel (BTW), retraining, refresher, and post-accident training processes.
• Coordinate classroom, BTW, line and revenue instruction/scheduling for new hire classes.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and modify program design to increase efficiency.
• Manage large-scale training projects and ensure programs are current with regulations.
