Job summary

Keolis is seeking a knowledgeable Trainer to administer operator education and certification programs, conduct safety training, and coordinate instructional activities across departments. The role emphasizes OSHA compliance, data-driven evaluation, and effective communication with diverse staff.

The ideal candidate will lead classroom and field training, ensure up-to-date knowledge from federal/state authorities, and oversee trainee examinations and performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Certified Transportation Safety Institute (TSI) bus operator trainer.
• Class “B” Commercial Driver License with P endorsement.
• Airbrakes and Passenger endorsements preferred; medical examiners certificate.
• At least 3 years’ progressive transit experience with class B vehicles in fixed route transit.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, NIMS, EPA, and ADA requirements.
• Experience developing safety program plans, investigations, data analysis, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Administers and directs training programs and OSHA required training.
• Conducts driver licensing safety instruction.
• Provides training assistance to maintenance, HR and other departments.
• Directs Behind the Wheel, retraining, refresher, and post-accident training processes.
• Coordinate classroom, BTW, line and revenue instruction for new hire classes.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs for efficiency.
• Manage large-scale training projects and keep programs current with regulators.
