Job summary

GRTC is seeking a Transportation Trainer/Coach in Richmond, VA to supervise daily training of bus operators and mechanics, and to ensure compliance with operating standards. You will deliver classroom and on-the-road training, and assist the training manager as needed.

Responsibilities include developing and delivering various training classes, creating training manuals, and conducting regular evaluations of operators.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
• Three to five years training experience.
• Eligible to obtain/maintain Commercial Driver’s License with a passenger endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct classroom and on-the-road training for all new hires and experienced operators and mechanics.
• Develop and deliver a variety of training classes as needed.
• Develop and maintain all training manuals and instructional materials.
• Conduct evaluations of operators on a regular basis.
• Supervise all new hires during training.
