Job summary
The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation is seeking a Transit Technology Program Lead to guide statewide transit technology initiatives from strategic planning through implementation and operation. You will work with CTDOT leadership, operators, consultants, and vendors to deliver measurable improvements in safety, reliability, and customer experience.
This role offers a telework option after the probationary period, with on-site work during the initial period.
Qualifications
- Seven years of professional experience in transportation engineering or planning.
- One year of experience coordinating complex planning projects.
- College training may substitute for experience; a Master’s can substitute for one additional year.
Responsibilities
- Lead statewide transit technology programs from planning through operation.
- Collaborate with CTDOT leadership, operators, municipalities, and vendors.
- Oversee procurement, contracts, and vendor management.
- Coordinate with transit agencies on technology initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and strategic direction.
