Job summary

State of Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) seeks a Transit Technology Program Lead to guide statewide transit technology initiatives from planning to deployment. You’ll coordinate across CTDOT leadership, transit operators, vendors, and partners to translate strategic priorities into practical technology programs and projects.

This role blends strategy, systems thinking, procurement oversight, and implementation leadership.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of professional experience in transportation planning or engineering.
• One (1) year coordinating complex planning projects.
• College training may substitute for up to four years of experience (15 semester hours = 1/2 year).
• Master's degree may substitute for one additional year of general experience.

Responsibilities

• Distributes, prioritizes, oversees and reviews unit work.
• Provides staff training and assistance; conducts performance evaluations.
• Coordinates with operating units, agencies, consultants and other officials.
• Prepares correspondence and related duties as required for transportation planning programs.
