Job summary

Ramos CS, now a part of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking a Project Manager (Transit Systems) to lead modernization and integration of Transit Power Substation Systems across the rail network. You will oversee design reviews, procurement, testing, and field inspections while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a WA PE license, 12+ years in traction power/TPSS delivery on public transit projects, and prefers PMP.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Washington is required; out-of-state licenses may be considered.
  • Approximately 12+ years of experience in traction power/TPSS systems delivery on transit or rail programs.
  • PMP certification preferred; strong English reading/writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leads modernization, standardization, and integration of Transit Power Substation Systems across the rail network.
  • Represents the Authority with design consultants, contractors, and equipment OEMs.
  • Reviews design submittals, coordination studies, and commissioning plans for code compliance.
  • Oversees procurement and factory acceptance testing of substation equipment.
  • Maintains project records, progress reporting, and change order documentation.
  • Performs field inspections and ensures safety and regulatory compliance.
