Job summary

Ramos Consulting Services, Inc. (Ramos CS), now part of Colliers Engineering & Design, is actively hiring a Project Manager for Transit Systems to lead TPSS modernization and integration across the rail network.

The role spans field and office work as Owner's Representative on a major transit program, overseeing design, procurement, testing, commissioning, and documentation. The ideal candidate has 12+ years in traction power/TPSS, a WA PE license, and PMP is preferred, with strong leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Washington is required. Out of state licenses may be considered on a case by case basis.
  • Approximately 12+ years of experience in traction power / TPSS systems delivery on transit or rail programs, including design oversight, construction, and commissioning.
  • Experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager on systems portfolios within public transit capital programs of at least $100M in aggregate value.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Leads modernization, standardization, and full integration of TPSS assets across the Authority's rail network.
  • Represents the Authority in technical and contractual matters with design consultants, systems contractors, utility partners, and equipment OEMs.
  • Ensures safety of employees and the traveling public by observing operations and energized systems conditions and taking corrective actions when needed.
  • Reviews design submittals, shop drawings, relay coordination studies, and commissioning plans for compliance with codes and standards.
  • Oversees procurement and factory acceptance testing of substation equipment including rectifiers, switchgear, SCADA, and protection and control systems.
  • Prepares reports and maintains complete contract records documenting progress, acceptance, and configuration management.
