Job summary

Ramos Consulting Services, now a part of Colliers Engineering & Design, is hiring a Project Manager (Transit Systems) to lead TPSS modernization and integration across the Authority's rail network. This role is the Owner's Representative for design, procurement, testing, and commissioning, ensuring adherence to manuals and specifications.

You will review contractor submittals, manage field activities, coordinate with design teams, and maintain project records while controlling scope, schedule,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Washington is required; out-of-state licenses considered case by case.
  • Approximately 12+ years of experience in traction power/TPSS systems delivery on transit or rail programs.
  • Experience as PM/Program Manager on systems portfolios within public transit capital programs of at least $100M in aggregate value.
  • PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead modernization, standardization, and full integration of Transit Power Substation Systems across the rail network.
  • Represent the Authority in technical and contractual matters with design consultants, contractors, and OEMs.
  • Ensure safety of employees and the traveling public by observing operations and energized systems.
  • Review design submittals, coordination studies, and commissioning plans for compliance with codes.
  • Oversee procurement and factory acceptance testing of substation equipment including SCADA and protection systems.
  • Prepare project records and daily diaries documenting contractor activities.
  • Monitor program schedule and budget and report to executive leadership.
  • Prepare contract change orders and proposed solutions for field conditions.
