Job summary

Ramos CS, now part of Colliers Engineering & Design, seeks a Project Engineer to lead field oversight of TPSS construction, installation, and commissioning on a transit capital program. You will monitor safety, quality, and schedule, review contractor activities, and prepare documentation for progress and payments, coordinating with multiple disciplines.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in TPSS/traction power on transit projects, a PE preferred (EIT acceptable), and strong English communication

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
  • PE license preferred; EIT acceptable.
  • 7+ years of field/construction experience on traction power/TPSS systems.
  • Experience as Project/Field/Commissioning Engineer on transit/rail projects.
  • English reading/writing proficiency required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety of Authority, State, contractor personnel and the traveling public.
  • Review contractor operations for OSHA and electrical safety requirements.
  • Perform field inspections for plans/specs/TPSS integration.
  • Witness and document equipment installation, wiring, testing, and commissioning.
  • Prepare daily progress reports and contract records.
  • Coordinate with signals, communications, track, and operations/maintenance disciplines.
  • Prepare draft change orders and related contract documentation.
