Job summary

WeGo Public Transit in Nashville seeks a Planning & Development Coordinator to provide high-level project administration and executive support within the Development Division. You will help advance planning initiatives, manage cross-department coordination, and support the Deputy CEO's scheduling and engagements.

The role offers exposure to leadership, policymaking, and transit operations, with opportunities to work on high-visibility projects and grant reporting.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in a public sector, transit, or community development setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Political Science, Business, or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with project management tools, GIS, or Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
• Interest in public transportation, community development, and government relations.
• Experience supporting construction, engineering, infrastructure, or capital improvement projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate capital project activities, including tracking deliverables, schedules, and milestones.
• Maintain project dashboards, calendars, and documentation for leadership reviews.
• Coordinate consultant and contractor communications, scheduling, and deliverables follow-up.
• Prepare scopes of work, procurement documents, and manage procurement activities.
• Track project schedules, resource requests, and documentation for standards compliance.
• Prepare project status reports, fact sheets, and visual presentations for stakeholders.
• Support preparation of grant applications and reporting for transit capital funding.
• Conduct research and compile data on transit-oriented development and partnerships.
• Monitor land use and development activity along transit corridors.
• Process invoices and assist with budget tracking for key capital projects.
• Coordinate submission of required reports to funding partners and oversight agencies.
• Maintain shared calendars, project files, and document archives.
• Document and improve departmental processes.
• Provide scheduling and logistical support for Deput y CEO's meetings and events.
