Job summary

WeGo Public Transit is seeking a Parts Supervisor in Nashville to lead a team of parts room clerks and oversee inventory, purchasing support, and vendor coordination. You will ensure accurate inventory, optimize stock levels, and support procurement contracts to meet safety and service standards.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication skills, with experience in transit maintenance environments and familiarity with parts catalogs and maintenance systems.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Three years of experience in a transit facility.
• Experience in purchasing, preferably at a public transit agency.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work varied shifts on weekdays, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work and provide technical assistance to the Parts Manager.
• Coordinate clerks maintaining parts inventories and receiving/issuing parts.
• Review purchase requests for garage locations.
• Maintain a perpetual and/or physical inventory system.
• Evaluate inventory records to maintain appropriate levels.
• Analyze purchasing records for best value purchasing.
