Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol Access Verification). You will guard clients across industries, perform regular patrols, monitor access points, and deliver courteous service to employees and visitors using tablet tools.

Position requires 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed), a high school diploma, and ability to pass background and drug screening. Schedule includes nights and weekends; pay is $18.67/hour with training, benefits, and growth

Qualifications

Customer service experience preferred.
Access control and badge experience preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background check required by law.
Drug screen required by policy.
Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, and staff by following security procedures.
Conduct regular unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, bus stops and perimeters.
Respond to incidents calmly and contact emergency services as needed.
Monitor access points and assist with directing passengers and visitors.
Document incidents and patrol activities accurately per site requirements.
