Job summary

Allied Universal in Denver, CO is seeking a Security Guard - Transit to monitor and protect passengers and staff at public transit facilities. You will perform unarmed patrols, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible presence to deter security issues while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Background histories considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, bus stops, buildings, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents and service disruptions in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and assist with crowd management during peak travel periods or events.
• Prepare clear incident reports and communicate observations to site contacts and responders.
