Job summary

Allied Universal in Denver, CO is seeking a Security Officer - Unarmed Train to safeguard riders and staff at a busy public transit location. You will monitor transit facilities, patrol areas, deter incidents, and report concerns using your customer-service skills.

The role requires at least one year of security experience; CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred. You must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma, and be comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing visitors, and report unauthorized access, property concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation.
