Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA NYC Transit) seeks a Superintendent to coordinate week-by-week track access for non-capital projects, aligning with CPM and Track Construction goals while minimizing passenger disruption.

Responsibilities include planning service plans, assisting diversions scheduling, conducting track access and data analysis, and reporting to OP staff. A Bachelor's degree and 4 years in transit operations are required, with 2 years in a supervisory role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of professional work experience in large rapid transit operations
  • Two years of which must be in a managerial/supervisory capacity

Responsibilities

  • Plan and write service plans for non-capital track access clients, coordinating with A and B Superintendents.
  • Assist in scheduling diversions and preparing rolling construction/maintenance diversion schedules.
  • Perform track access and force account analysis to aid scheduling decisions.
  • Analyze track access impact of non-capital projects and report findings to OP staff.
  • Assist the General Superintendent in day-to-day management of the Track Access Unit.
  • Prepare reports for OP staff and client departments on non-capital projects.
