Job summary

Keolis Group in Burnsville, MN seeks a Safety & Training Supervisor to strengthen the company’s safety program and ensure DOT compliance across operations.

You will lead training initiatives, coordinate new-hire bus operator instruction, and supervise safety activities, audits, and RTSMS processes while presenting to multi-department teams. Knowledge of DOT rules and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of progressive public transportation experience with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Ability to interpret and explain regulations to others.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must know the geographical area.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• DOT and safety compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure training is compliant with state and federal regulations and the local contract.
• Conduct monthly audits for safety sensitive employee DOT physicals, license renewals, and random drug/alcohol testing.
• Coordinate and ensure compliance with the DOT safety sensitive position random testing program using Federal regulations.
• Investigate, report and recommend on hazardous locations, situations, or events; support the Safety Manager and safety committee.
• Teach and coordinate OSHA/ safety training for Maintenance, dispatchers, and road supervisors; provide coaching to employees.
• Lead new-hire bus operator training including classroom, behind-the-wheel, and route training for CDL holders.

Education

CDL Class B with P endorsement and air brakes

High School Diploma, some college preferred
