Job summary

MTM Transit seeks a Manager, Safety & Training to lead safety culture and training across transit and paratransit operations. You will partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership to implement SMS and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in transit safety leadership, with ADA/FTA/DOT knowledge and strong training delivery skills. Travel may be required, and the position is onsite upon contract award.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in safety/operations.
• Experience with ADA/FTA/DOT regulations and safety programs.
• Proven record of leading safety investigations and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain a positive safety culture across operations.
• Implement and support Safety Management System programs.
• Oversee safety incentives and monitor performance metrics.
• Manage DAMIS reporting and Drug Program compliance.
• Lead safety committees and conduct training (classroom/behind-the-wheel).
• Investigate incidents, identify trends, and drive corrective actions.
• Support audits/inspections and safety meetings.
