Job summary

Riverside Transit Agency seeks a senior safety and security professional to develop, implement, and manage the Agency's safety programs, security operations, and emergency plans. You will lead PTASP efforts, liaise with law enforcement, and coordinate training across departments to ensure a safe transit system for employees and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in operational safety, Safety Management Systems, or emergency service management.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Primary contact for safety and security issues at facilities, bus stops, transit centers, and onboard vehicles.
• Oversees security guard services contract and liaison with federal, state, and local law enforcement.
• Coordinates Emergency Management & Business Recovery Planning; develops PTASP, safety plans and related training.
• Develops safety reports, analyzes performance indicators, and provides risk management expertise.
• May require weekends/nights and on-call availability.
