Job summary

Fort Bend County in Rosenberg, TX seeks a Reservationist for Public Transportation. This full-time role reserves passenger trips using an automated scheduling system and delivers courteous customer service to riders and callers.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, at least three years of related experience, strong computer, math, and communication skills, and the ability to work with the public and coordinate with Operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 3 years job related experience; prior experience with transportation scheduling/reservations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reserves passenger trips within Fort Bend County requirements using an automated scheduling system.
• Provides excellent customer service when speaking to clients via phone and in person; Responds to inquiries, questions or complaints regarding transit services.
• Acts as liaison between clients and Operations Supervisor in resolving customer service issues; exercises good judgment within policies and guidelines.
• Inputs changes and/or cancellations into database, updates passenger information and deletions as needed.
• Extensive knowledge of Fort Bend County roads and neighborhoods; knowledge of METRO and surrounding transit routes.
• Participates in emergency management activities during a local state of disaster as directed by county managers.
