Job summary

East Texas Council of Governments (ETCOG) is seeking a customer-focused Call Center Reservationist to support GoBus public transportation across our 14-county region. You will handle incoming calls, provide clear scheduling information, discuss trip options, and book rides while delivering friendly, reliable service.

The role requires accuracy in maintaining profiles and reservations, familiarity with scheduling and database systems, and the ability to work in a high-volume environment;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of one year of experience in dispatch, customer service, a transportation environment, or a related field is required; experience with transit scheduling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and provide clear, friendly service information.
• Discuss trip options and schedule rides for GoBus customers.
• Maintain accurate customer profiles, trip reservations, and scheduling-system records.
• Assist with call center opening procedures, contracted trips, and portal scheduling; provide general administrative tasks.
• Possible operational backup to dispatch by assisting drivers and operators as needed.
