Job summary

RailWorks Corporation is seeking a Field Engineer/Engineering Professional to support field construction activities across major transit rail projects. You will analyze survey data, lay out installations, interpret drawings and provide technical support to contractors on site.

Role requires at least 1 year of construction engineering experience, a Civil/PM degree, and strong communication skills. The position is on-site with exposure to outdoor and variable conditions in active construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or PM; advanced degree is a plus
• 1 year of construction industry engineering experience minimum
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of procurement, budgets and cost control methods
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Analyze survey data and drawings to assist in planning projects
• Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and reference points
• Interpret design drawings and codes and provide technical support during installations
• Review subcontract documents for compliance with specs and schedules
• Prepare field design changes and update drawings for field use
• Monitor project schedules and assist with problem resolution and scheduling
