Job summary

RailWorks Corporation is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to coordinate all aspects of heavy civil transit projects in the New York area. You will lead planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with a strong safety and quality focus.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction management, a Civil / Construction / PM degree, and proven capability in project controls and client relations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction management in heavy civil environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or Project Management; advanced degree a plus.
• Experience with project accounting, controls (cost, schedule, change management), material management, contract and subcontract management, safety, and quality.
• Strong management and leadership skills, with a proven record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and client-relations abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Review proposals/plans to determine timeframes, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with department managers to establish work plans and staffing per phase.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and project specifications.
• Verify project estimates through proposal/spec review.
• Lead meetings to communicate project requirements and needs.
• Supervise activities to align with designs, budgets, and schedules; address deviations.
• Manage finances of contracts; oversee onsite staff and safety programs.
• Prepare internal/external reports on project status.
