Job summary

Transportation Management Services Inc. (TMS) in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Manager, Planning, Scheduling and Rostering to build and optimize schedules for vehicles and drivers across contracts and events.

The role ensures service reliability, cost efficiency, and labor compliance while coordinating with operations and HR. You will manage run-cutting, rostering, and schedule changes in Optibus, align with client SLAs, and produce regular reports on performance, cost and utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in transit, shuttle, or fleet scheduling and rostering.
• Experience with Optibus or comparable scheduling platforms.
• Familiarity with GTFS data and schedule planning.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize vehicle and driver schedules across routes and events.
• Ensure compliance with labor agreements and hours-of-service rules.
• Coordinate with Operations, Depot, and Fleet teams for availability and readiness.
• Monitor schedule adherence and adjust to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Generate reports on schedule efficiency, labor cost, and service performance.
