Job summary

Davidson Transit Organi is seeking a Parts Supervisor to oversee the parts room operations at the Nashville facility. You will lead a team of clerks, manage inventory and coordinate with the Parts Manager and Procurement to ensure timely stocking and compliance with standards.

The role requires strong supervisory abilities, knowledge of parts inventories for large fleets, and experience in coordinating with vendors. Willingness to work varying shifts and maintain safety procedures is essential.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Transit facility experience is advantageous.
• Experience with purchasing for a public transit agency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work and provide technical assistance to the Parts Manager.
• Supervise parts clerks maintaining inventories and issuing parts.
• Review purchase requests for multiple garage locations.
• Maintain an accurate parts inventory system and conduct physical inventories.
• Evaluate inventory records and optimize stock levels.
• Assist in vendor bid evaluation and contract development.
• Maintain records and prepare reports for parts operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
