Job summary

Transdev North America, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Parts Clerk to procure, receive, store, and distribute parts for transit vehicle maintenance. You will ensure accurate inventory records, control costs, and support emergency parts procurement to minimize downtime.

The role requires 2-3 years in inventory or transit maintenance parts, CMMS experience, and proficiency with Excel and Outlook. Union payscale applies with benefits per the collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of inventory, warehouse, automotive, diesel, or transit maintenance parts experience preferred.
• Experience with diesel vehicle or transit parts is a plus.
• Experience using CMMS and inventory management systems.
• Proficiency in Excel and Outlook; strong records keeping and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts against POs and packing slips.
• Maintain organized inventory of vehicle parts, tools, fluids, and supplies.
• Issue parts to technicians and document inventory transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories for accuracy.
• Source parts from approved vendors and process requisitions and POs.
• Maintain inventory software and track usage trends for cost savings.
• Coordinate with vendors on deliveries, shortages, and returns.
• Ensure safe storage of hazardous materials per policy and regulation.
• Prepare inventory and purchasing reports; support emergency parts procurement.
