Job summary

Transdev North America in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Parts Supervisor to direct the parts department, oversee inventories and procurement, and ensure timely service for shop operations.

You will supervise parts clerks, coordinate transfers, and drive cost reduction while maintaining accurate records and strong vendor relationships; this role requires strong organization, communication, and independent problem solving.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of inventory/parts experience.
• Prior management and/or supervisory experience preferred.
• Prior parts experience with heavy equipment preferred.
• Must be computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Must be able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing; handle interruptions.
• Autonomous, self-directed and able to handle crisis/conflict.

Responsibilities

• Supervises parts clerks.
• Coordinates parts and materials transfers between locations.
• Keeps parts department offices and warehouses organized and clean.
• Meets deadlines through organization and problem solving.
• Leads cost reduction initiatives; manages obsolete inventory and justifies inventory.
• Designs, implements, and monitors cost quality purchasing program.
• Stocks inventory at appropriate levels for shop operations.
• Maintains an effective parts catalog system.
• Manages a core exchange program and quarterly inventories.
• Provides reports and ensures accuracy of repair orders.
• Interacts positively with customers and vendors.
