Job summary

GRTC in Richmond, VA seeks an experienced Bus Operations Supervisor to oversee Bus Operators, maintain schedules, and ensure on-time performance. The role requires supervisory experience, transit knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years’ supervisory/management experience.
• 3 years’ bus transit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the Bus Operations Managers informed of any problems.
• Maintain Operator attendance, pay, and leave time records through Hastus.
• Monitor all in-service vehicles to ensure headways and analyze running times and passenger loads.
• Monitor CAD/AVL radio system to maintain contact with transit vehicle operators and respond to emergencies.
