Job summary

First Student seeks an Operations Supervisor to help manage drivers and dispatchers, ensuring routes run smoothly and safely. The role supports location staff and monitors performance metrics daily.

The position requires a high school diploma, a CDL B or the ability to obtain one within six months, and prior transit or driving experience. On-site work with benefits and growth opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; CDL Class B or above preferred.
• 2-4 years transit or related experience preferred.
• 2-3 years driving experience required.
• Supervisory experience strongly desired.
• Problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with passengers, drivers, dispatchers and road supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Counsels, coaches, and trains drivers and dispatchers.
• Tracks trip performance measures and ensures on-time routes and safety.
• Prepares operational reports and maintains daily records.
• Dispatches as needed and reconciles deposits.
• May assist in driver hiring and payroll tasks.
