Job summary

Transdev North America seeks an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in directing passenger transit operations. Based in Hyannis, MA, the role oversees daily contract operations, facility and safety, customer service, and finance, with travel as needed.

Requires 5–7 years of supervisory experience and a strong knowledge of transit regulations. Competitive compensation and a full benefits package including vacation, sick days and 401(k) are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred.
• 5–7 years of supervisory or management-level experience in the passenger transportation industry.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws.
• Thorough knowledge of transit operations laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations management.
• Provide strategic planning and direction to operations staff.
• Manage contract compliance.
• Share responsibility for scheduling, performance evaluation, and staffing for the facility's management staff.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Travel requirement outside of immediate area.
