Job summary

Transdev Hyannis is seeking a General Manager to lead day-to-day operations, ensure safe and reliable service, and drive financial performance. You will oversee staff, contract assets, and relations with clients, customers, and unions, while shaping strategic direction for the business unit.

This on-site role in Hyannis requires a four-year degree and substantial experience in transportation operations, with strong budgeting, reporting, and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Completion of a four (4) year college degree is desirable, though experience may substitute.
• Experience in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation, or related field preferred.
• At least 5 years managing a fixed route or paratransit bus operation of similar size and scope.

Responsibilities

• Continuously builds relationships with employees, the client, union partners, and the local community.
• Sets commercial and operational strategic direction for the business unit team according to location/client contract.
• Leads the management team and workforce to achieve safety, service performance, and financial objectives.
• Identifies and develops business growth opportunities.
• Optimizes return on assets including scheduling, maintenance, and performance management.
• Identifies and analyzes KPIs to maintain positive results.
• Ensures services are within budget with action plans to improve efficiency.
• Delivers the business unit budget and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Oversees staff management and training in liaison with the corporate team.
• Ensures environmental compliance and sustainability management.
• Provides complete data collection, analysis, and reporting.
