The City of Charlotte’s Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is hiring an Application Administrator II to administer, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize transit software such as Vontas OnRoute and GIRO HASTUS. You will work with operations, IT, and vendors to ensure reliable system operation and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience supporting or administering business or operational applications
• Experience with transit planning, CAD/AVL, and fare technology platforms preferred

Responsabilités

• Provide application administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing support for transit applications, coordinating with vendors and internal teams
• Serve as a primary technical contact for users, analyze requirements, and provide guidance
• Lead portions of system upgrades, implementations, or enhancements and coordinate testing and deployment
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues and assess operational impact
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and support standardized procedures
