Job summary

TheRide in Ann Arbor, MI is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic/Fleet Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair light- and heavy-duty transit vehicles. You'll work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, braking, suspension and HVAC systems with our Fleet Services team.

Base pay is $38.50–$40.90 per hour, overtime $57.75–$61.35 per hour, plus $0.30/hour for each ASE certification up to the $40.90/hour cap. Diesel experience is valued but not required.

Qualifications

• 56+ years of commercial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical background with troubleshooting and repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair transit vehicles.
• Work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, braking, suspension, and HVAC systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and emergency field repairs.
