Job summary

TheRide in Ann Arbor, MI is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic/Fleet Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair light- and heavy-duty transit vehicles. You'll work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, braking, suspension and HVAC systems with our Fleet Services team.

Base pay is $38.50–$40.90 per hour, overtime $57.75–$61.35 per hour, plus $0.30/hour for each ASE certification up to the $40.90/hour cap. Diesel experience is valued but not required.

Qualifications

• 56+ years of commercial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical background with troubleshooting and repair skills.

While diesel experience is valuable, it isn't necessarily a dealbreaker. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair light- and heavy-duty transit vehicles. Work on a variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, braking, suspension, and HVAC systems. Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and emergency field repairs. Use diagnostic equipment, technical manuals, and computerized maintenance systems. Work alongside an experienced Fleet Services team to keep TheRide's fleet safe, reliable, and on the road.
